GPS is a satellite-based navigation system. All GPS receivers can display your position in relation to latitude and longitude and provide basic navigation data. There are 3 categories for GPS receivers:
Basic GPS: Accurately display your current position as well as show it in relation to stored markers (called waypoints), routes, and tracks.
GPS For Points of Interest: They store a database of "points of interest" such as locations of restaurants, banks,
and gas stations or marine navigation aids such as buoys, beacons, and marinas.
GPS For Driving: In-car GPS units take full advantage of detailed,
often preloaded maps in 3D color that lead you to your destination with the greatest of ease.
